Mission

Less performance. More possibility.

SHY exists to make dating lead somewhere — to real conversation, real plans, and relationships that survive contact with real life.

Our operating principles

1. Intention over impulse

Interest on SHY is deliberate. Gravity is a press-and-hold with tiers — from "noticed" to "all in" — not a reflex swipe. If expressing interest costs a moment of intent, it means something to receive it.

2. Reasons over scores

We don't put numbers on people. Harmony shows grounded reasons — values you both actually chose — or nothing. A percentage teaches you to trust math over your own judgment; a reason invites you to look closer.

3. Consent is the architecture

Whisper opens only on mutual interest, so nobody can be cold-messaged. Blocks are enforced server-side, in both directions. For couples, any shared step requires each partner's explicit consent to the specific step — never blanket permission.

4. No reward for keeping you here

SHY succeeds when you leave the app to meet someone, not when you scroll longer. There are no streaks, no engagement bait, and paid options change convenience — never ranking, and never other people's view of you.
